1. Bac Ha Flower Valley

Visiting the flower valley, tourists have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fresh air of the H’mong village with corn and rice fields stretching endlessly. The temple covers a total area of ​​5 hectares, with an architecture consisting of a main hall, a rear palace to worship the two brothers Vũ, and a Buddha altar, leaning against the mountain. Bac Ha Temple holds deep historical significance and has a significant influence on the lives of the people of various ethnic groups in the highland region of Lao Cai province.

The Bac Ha Temple festival is held on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month each year to commemorate the death anniversary of the national hero Vũ Văn Uyên, who played a crucial role in pacifying the rebellion and defending the Northwestern region in the 16th-17th century. The festival attracts locals and tourists with various activities such as cockfighting, tug of war, traditional dances, and cultural performances. In 2003, Bac Ha Temple was recognized as a national-level historical and cultural monument by the state.

3. Hoang A Tuong Palace

When you visit Bac Ha, you will remember the “white plateau” era, recalling the palace of King Hoang A Tuong, a famous Bac Ha tourist spot. The unique blend of Asian-European architectural style, constructed over a century ago, creates a fascinating and mysterious atmosphere.

Some dishes that you should try at the Bac Ha market are pho, horse “thắng cố” – buffalo “thắng cố,” colorful sticky rice, corn cakes, and sticky rice cakes.

At the market, a variety of local products are sold, such as fruits, vegetables, honey, as well as essential tools like hoes, shovels, plows, knives, etc. However, what attracts the most attention is the jewelry with various models and the traditional ethnic costumes with vivid patterns handwoven by the highland people of Bac Ha.
